We say that when you decide to install a biomass boiler, you will enter a relationship with your new boiler, so it’s very important to consider beforehand what type of relationship you want to have, as our boilers have a design life that will outlive most pets!

You will need to choose the right fuel type for your lifestyle. Do you want the automatic convenience of pellets, where you empty the ash can only once every few weeks, or do you want the daily interaction of choosing your logs from the pile and loading your boiler? Using wood chip will require an interaction somewhere in between these two scenarios. You will also need to consider the space available for buffer tanks and fuel storage, which will need to be dry.

Froling have a range of boilers to suit most requirements. The PECO pellet and S2 log are great where space is at a premium. You can also combine the S2 with a pellet module, so you can make use of cheap log supplies and have the convenience of pellets when required. If you have a high heat and hot water demand the S5 larger log boilers are great, but remember you will need to store the hot water in tanks that can be quite large.

Frolings T4e wood chip boilers give you automatic fuel feed and ash removal to optimise the low cost of wood chip, these boilers are good for situations with a good amount of space for fuel storage and a three phase electricity supply.
